FAQ

When to start my Wedding gown search
A general guide would be 18 months up to 9 months before your wedding date, some brides are more organised than others, some need longer to prepare than others. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule and we can offer bridal gowns on a much tighter timeframe if our supplier is ‘holding stock’ or if you wish to take advantage of our ‘Sale’ selection of gowns. Should you have any questions on timings or feel unsure just contact us and we can discuss your individual situation and timescale.

Do I have to choose my dress at the first appointment?
No. However we often find that when a bride tries on ‘the perfect dress’ she won’t want to try on anything else, or wait a moment longer! If you want to have someone come along for further advice, we recommend that you pick out 1 or 2 favorites from those tried on so it will be easier the next time to make your final choice.

May I bring people with me?
Yes of course, however, we do recommend that you try and keep this to one or two additional people. Otherwise you will have too many opinions! We welcome children in our store, however, only those who behave!

Do I need an appointment to try dresses on?
An appointment is always advisable to ensure that we have an assistant free to give you help and advice. However, you may of course come in and browse and try on gowns if we are free at your time of visit.

Alterations
We are very proud to say that we work with a very highly skilled on-site seamstress. We endeavour to conduct all your bridal fitting here in store, ensuring continuity of service not forgetting all our fabulous mirrors! Please note: Seamstress charges (re: hems/final bodice work, shortening of straps etc) are charged in addition to the cost of the gowns/dresses. Full details of which would be discussed during your appointment with us.

Storage
Bridal gown storage is free. Organising a date/time to collect your gown will be discussed at your final fitting, normally one or two days before your actual wedding date.
