Do I need an appointment to try dresses on?
An appointment is always advisable to ensure that we have an assistant free to give you help and advice. However, you may of course come in and browse and try on gowns if we are free at your time of visit.
May I bring people with me?
Yes of course, however, we do recommend that you try and keep this to one or two additional people. Otherwise you will have too many opinions! We welcome children in our store, however, only those who behave!
Do I have to choose my dress at the first appointment?
No. However we often find that when a bride tries on 'the perfect dress' she won't want to try on anything else, or wait a moment longer! If you want to have someone come along for further advice, we recommend that you pick out 1 or 2 favorites from those tried on so it will be easier the next time to make your final choice.
When should I order my dress?
Each Bridal gown is ordered individually, and will take approximately 14 to 20 weeks from order to delivery. Time also has to be allowed for any alterations that may be needed. We recommend ordering your dress at least 6 -7 months before your wedding day. However, you can secure your dress with a small deposit as much as 12 – 18 months before your wedding date. Please note: Seamstress charges (re: hems/final bodice work etc) are charged in addition to the cost of the gowns/dresses. Details are available on request.
Do you stock Bridesmaid/Flower girl dresses?
Yes, we have a very large selection of Bridesmaid/Flower girl dresses, available in a vast selection of colours. We also have a selection of coordinating adult, teen, & flower girl dresses. These should be ordered 4 -5 months before your wedding day. (When ordering child dresses, we do factor in room for growth).
How do I pay for my Wedding Gown/Bridesmaid dresses?
We accept Cash, Cheque or Credit card payments. A deposit is paid when the gowns are ordered from our suppliers, with the final balance due on the garments arrival. NO Seamstress work will commence until the garments have been paid for in full.
Need a dress in a hurry? Looking for a bargain?
We do have an extensive ‘sale rail’ for those who are looking for a dress in a hurry or an absolute bargain! With many gowns at least half their original price. All ‘sale’ gowns are paid for in full and taken home with you. Seamstress contacts are provided ie: hem alterations etc.
When will I have my first fitting?
Your first fitting will take place approximately 6 – 8 wks before your wedding date.
Do I have to bring anything to my fitting?
Yes, you MUST have your shoes and underwear that you intend to wear on your wedding day. A fitting can NOT take place without these items, whether it is for brides or bridesmaids.
When do I collect my dress prior to my ‘big day’?
You may collect your wedding gown the day before or a fortnight before, the choice is yours, all gowns are steamed (pressed) prior to collection. All bridal gowns are supplied within a full length bridal carrier.
